22 bags of poppy recovered, two smugglers arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jul 21 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have recovered 22 bags of poppy straw and arrested two people in South Kashmir, official sources said today.
They said when a tip-off was received that some smugglers were moving in the Tral area under the cover of darkness carrying banned crops, police established a naka at Pahoo.
Later, they arrested two smugglers Majid Bhat and Hilal Ahmad Reshi, who were carrying 22 bags of Poppy straw in their vehicle.
The poppy straw and the vehicle were seized by the police, they said.
