Shahabuddin leaves for Delhi to participate in Trust vote
Siwan, Jul 20 (UNI) Incarcerated Rashtriya Janta Dal(RJD) MP Mohammad Shahabuddin today left for New Delhi amid tight security arrangements to attend the special session of Lok Sabha for the Trust vote.
Official sources said here that following the order of the Patna High court, the controversial MP was escorted to New Delhi by 2553 UP Vaishali Superfast Express during the day.
He is scheduled to attand the special session of Lok Sabha on July 21 and 22.
The sources said the escort team, comprising 25 security personnel, was headed by an Inspector rank officer of the Bihar police, along with four sub-inspectors and 20 security guards from the Special Auxiliary Police(SAP).
Earlier, on July 16, a division Bench of the Patna High Court, comprising Justice Shiv Kirti Singh and Justice Abhijeet Sinha, granted permission to the incarcerated RJD MP to participate in the special session of Lok Sabha.
The RJD MP, currently lodged in Siwan jail, had been convicted in several criminal cases and awarded imprisonment ranging from one year to life.
