Sagar,MP, July 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani today said his tenure as Assembly Speaker passed in a peaceful and dignified manner and described it as his achievement.
''Not even on a single occasion, a Marshal was required,'' Mr Rohani told reporters here today.
On the last session of the Vidhan Sabha being adjourned before time, the Speaker said the Opposition had good chance to put the government on the dock over violence in Indore and other incidents. However, it lost the opportunity.
''The Opposition was busy trying to put me on the dock instead of putting the government on the dock. Black 'dupattas' were hurled on me,'' he said, adding that he believed that black cloth were hurled on him to ward off any ill omen.
