JSP, VJCP to form third front
Kolhapur, Jul 20 (UNI) The Jansurajya Shakti Party (JSP), led by Maharashtra non-conventional energy minister Vinay Kore, and Vidarbha Janata Congress Party (VJCP), led by former MLA Jambuwantrao Dhote, have decided to form a third front in the state, for the upcoming Lok Sabha and state assembly elections.
Announcing this in a joint press conference at Warnanagar in the district, Mr Kore and Mr Dhote said the third front will contest the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections from all the seats.
The reason behind formation of the third front is to provide alternative to the BJP-Shiv Sena and Congress-NCP alliance in the state, they said. ''We will choose candidates with good character to contest the elections,'' Mr Kore and Mr Dhote said.
Even if the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government wins the confidence motion, they will not stay for long, Mr Dhote opined. Same is the case with the Congress-NCP led state government, which has failed to solve problems of people, while the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance has also not discharged their duties as the opposition properly, he said.
The third front will be organising a huge rally at Wardha on August nine, in which details of their future plans will be revealed, Mr Dhote said.
