Jhabua, MP, Jul 20 (UNI) At least seven people, including a woman, were killed and 50 others injured, when a bus overturned near Ranapur in the district this morning.
Police said the bus was on its way to Indore from Jobat when the driver lost control over the vehicle and turned turtle on the roadside.
The injured, 10 of them seriously, were rushed to Ranapur and Jhabua hospitals, police said and added that out of the seven deceased, six were identified as Pooja, Dinesh, Kamlesh, Juvan, Vikram and Dinesh. The name of the another victim was yet to be ascertained.
Minister of State for Health Nirmala Bhuria visited Jhabua district hospital and announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the relatives of the deceased. She also announced Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000 each to the seriously injured and injured respectively.
