Orissa govt clears Projects worth Rs 1,825 crore
Bhubaneswar, Jul 19 (UNI) The Single Window Clearance Committee, headed by Orissa Chief Secretary A K Tripathy, today cleared three new projects with total investment of Rs 1,825 crore.
Industry Secretary Ashok Dalwai told newspersons here that Oceanic Shipyard Ltd, a subsidiary of Bharati Shipyard, proposed to set up an oil rig, offshore structure, support vessel maintenance, manufacturing and repairing unit at Bhadrak.
The company intended to invest Rs 900 crore for the project over an area of 950 acres of land and would give employment to 7,500 people. The Bhubi Profiles and Stainless Pvt Ltd's proposal to set up a hot rolling plate and coil rolling was also cleared by the committee.
The plant with an annual capacity of 750 ton would be set up at Khurunti in Dhenkanal district over 50 acres of land at an investment of Rs 492.66 crore. The plant would provide employment to 1,000 people and source its raw material from the BRG Steel, he said.
The Industry Secretary said a Rubyron Bhinimaya Pvt Ltd would set up a Cold rolling mill with an annual capacity of 2,040 ton over 50 acres of land also at Khurunti in Dhenkanal district.
The company planned to invest Rs 432.95 crore and provide employment to 1,500 people in its unit and source its raw materials from the BRG Steel and other plants.
