Junior doctors warn of agitation if demand is not met
Kanpur, Jul 19 (UNI) The junior doctors of Lala Lajpat Rai hospital here today threatened to resume their agitation, if the people who mandhandled them recently were not arrested soon.
The junior doctors had gone on strike wearing black badges, a couple of days back to protest their manhandling by relatives of a deceased. The bereaved family had alleged the laxity of the doctors behind the death of a woman patient.
However, the protestors had later taken back their strike.
A mob of junior doctors had also vandalised the furnitures at emergency ward and a police outpost and attempted to block a road at the medical college crossing.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer S K Tiwari told UNI that the health department has made arrangements to meet any situation.
Aboutt 65 doctors, who were under training in the city, would be pressed in service in the LLR hospital at the time of need.
