Hazrat Mohmmad Sahib's 44th descendant residing in Surat

Surat, Jul 19 (UNI) The 44th descendants of Hazrat Mohmmad Paigambar Sahib, who preached the principles of truth, love for all human beings, universal brotherhood, non-violence and sympathy against all living beings, are residing at Rander in Surat and are still following these principles known as ''Sajiada-Nasheen''.

The current Sajiada-Nasheen is Dr Saiyed Omar Farukh Refaiye, who teaches National love among Muslims, and is also known as 'Quazi' among local Muslims.

The history dates back about 350 years ago when, 30th descendant of Mohammad Paigamber Sahib, Shah Safiuallah Refaiye, who was a fakir came to Surat in 1603 (1022 Hijri) and rested in Khanka (Masjid). At that time, the area was dominated by Jain traders, who asked Saifullah Sahib not to stay in the Khanka Masjid during night as any person who spent the night there was found dead next morning.

Saifuallah Sahib took the warning as a challenge and spent whole night at the Khanka Masjid.

Next morning, people residing near Khanka Masjid heard 'Azjaan', which surprised everyone including the local Jains. When the Muslims went at the masjid, they were shocked to see Saifullah Sahib alive.

Seeing disbelief in their eyes, he said there were 'Jinns' in the Masjid who used to kill people, but now they were under my control. He assured Muslims that he had come to Surat to preacu the wordings of Paigmabar Sahib. So the Muslims asked Saifullah Sahib to stay in Rander only, which he accepted heartily and decided to stay there permanently.

While selecting the space for his stay, Saifullah Sahib liked a mansion used by a wealthy Jain trader. Sahib asked the latter to sell the mansion. But the Jain trader wondered whether Sahib could pay the price or not. Apprehending the Jain trader's bewilderment as to how could a fakir buy the lavish building, Saifullah Sahib asked the trader to collect as many number of stones which he throught was the price of the mansion.
