Barwani, MP, Jul 19 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Warehousing and Logistic Corporation's godown at Sendhwa in this district was sealed following detection of red wheat in the foodgrain supplied under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
District Food and Civil Supplies Officer M L Yadav said the action was taken yesterday after confirmation of complaint regarding supply of prohibited red wheat. About 834 quintal wheat was stored there.
The wheat was supplied from Dhar district's Dhamnod-based Food Corporation of India depot to the Civil Supplies Corporation for distribution under the PDS in Barwani district. It was later stored in the Warehousing Corporation's godown at Sendhwa.
Dhar District Collector was informed for suitable action, Mr Yadav said.
