Thane, Jul 19 (UNI) The rebel Congress candidate, Nanadakumar More, who helped Shiv Sena to retain its hold over the civic school committee and got himself elected as Vice Chairman of the committee, has been expelled from his earlier party for six years for anti-party activities.

His Godfather and Guru, Kanti Koli, President of the Thane City (District) Congress Committee also faces action from the party.

During the Thane Municipal School Chairman election, Mr More had given space for Sena nominee Suresh Gada so that Mr Gada gets easily elected in the poll.

Congress and NCP that do not wish to face each other, had put up their individual candidates for the election.

The entire political game was managed by the local Sena leaders, who offered the lucrative office to Mr More, and 'kidnapped' him and kept him away from the polls.

It was a question of one vote and to cash on this the Sena played the game and retained the office.

Meanwhile, Mr Koli, who twice had been MLA from Thane is also facing action as the MPCC has understood to have recommended to AICC for serious action against him for helping Mr More to support the Shiv Sena.

Following this betrayal, the rival Congress faction did not waste any time and took charge of the Congress office here and put up their camp, stopping entry of Mr Koli's followers.
