Vigilance produce against DGM
Srinagar, Jul 18 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) today produced a challan against a senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) for involving in a corruption case.
The officer, identified as Incharge Deputy General Manager of the JKPCC, Mohammad Abass Lone was caught red-handed accepting bribe of Rs 15000 on April 4, this year.
The challan was produced in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Kashmir, a spokesman of the VO said.
Giving details about the case, he said one Zahoor Ahmad Banday had lodged a written complaint with the organisation on April 4 this year alleging that the accused Lone was demanding money for release of payment of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Later, the accused officer was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15000 from the complainant, he said.
The tainted money was recovered from Lone's possession in presence of independent witnesses.
