Veteran Urdu journalist of Bihar passes away
Samastipur, Jul 18: Veteran Urdu journalist of Bihar Mustaq Ahmed died at his residence here after a protracted illness. He was 75.
Senior Correspondent of well-known Urdu daily Quami Tanzeem, Mr Ahmed also worked as a columnist of several other Urdu and Hindi newspapers, including Sangam and Pataliputra Times.
Prior to taking up journalism about four decades ago, he taught in a reputed school here. He was also considered to be a renowned exponent of Urdu literature.
The local unit of the Bihar Working Journalists Union in a message condoled his death and sympathised with the members of the bereaved family.
The local Congress leadership, including the party's Samastipur district president, also condoled his death.
