Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Bharatiya Jana Shakti (BJS) President Uma Bharati today ruled out possibility her joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Talking to newsmen, the former firebrand for BJP, who was here to participate in guru Purnima Pooja, told newsmen here that " for any reason I will not join the BJP party." Referring to Indo-US Nuclear deal issue, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharati said that "Prime Minister should have discussed the issue in the Parliament openly".
Ruling out possibility of her party contesting in any elections in Karnataka, Ms Uma said that BJS would contest in Assembly elections of MP, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan and Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
Replying to a question, Ms Uma said that in Karnataka BJP came to power only because of charisma of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and not because of BJP's image.
