Sultry conditions back in Delhi, mercury rises to 36.4 deg C
New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) After some respite to the Delhiites yesterday, it was back to sultry weather conditions in the capital today with the mercury rising to 36.4 degrees Celsius.
After a slight drop, humidity level in the city today rose to 83 per cent. The humidity rise, coupled with a bright sunlit sky, led to acute sultry conditions. The maximum temperature rose, from 34.6 degrees Celsius yesterday, to 36.4 degrees C, one degree above normal.
The minimum today was also recorded one degree above normal at 27.6 degrees.
Meanwhile, the lull in rainfall activity persisted, which is likely to continue tomorrow as well though weathermen have forecast some thundry development in some areas in the city.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with likelihood of thundry development in a few areas.
