Patna, Jul 18(UNI) The incessant downpour in Bihar which stopped since last night after a week, gave the people the much needed relief.
Though the local met office recorded a mere 0.4 mm of rainfall during the past 24 hours, still lakhs of residents in the Kankarbagh, Rajendranagar, Sri Krishnagar, Dariapur, Machuatoli and posh Pataliputra Colony were facing the problems of waterlogging.
Vehicular movement in Patna and the adjoining areas was severly affected as most of the roads went under knee-deep water.
However, despite no downpour since last night the overall temperature in the capital city had in fact rose by one degree and was recorded at 33.1 degree Celsius during the day as against yesterday's 32.2 degree Celsius.
The minimum temparature also increased by three degree and it remained at 27.3 degree Celsius, compared to yesterday's 24.8 degree Celsius.
The local met office informed that the sky will be generally cloudy with the possibility of one or two spells of rain and thunderstorms during the next 24 hours.
