Mother-son among 3 killed in road mishaps in Haryana
Panipat, Jul 18 (UNI) Three persons including a mother and son were killed and six others were injured in two seprate accidents in Panipat and Sonepat districts today, police sources here stated.
In the first mishap in Panipat district, a mother and son died while another relative sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a truck near Naultha village on Panipat-Rohtak National Highway today, police here stated.
The deceased were identified as Navdeep of Khanpur Kalan village in Sonepat district and his mother Ramkali. The injured was his brother-in-law, Parveen of Tikana village in Karnal district.
The police registered a case against the truck driver who absconded after leaving his vehicle behind at the scene of the accident.
In the second accident in Sonepat district one person was killed and five others were injured when the truck driver of a Canter loaded with charcoal lost control and the vehicle entered a tea vend near a petrol pump in Gohana town.
The deceased was identified as Suresh of Garhi Ujale Khan village, who died on the spot.
The injured included the Canter driver, Sunil of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, vend owner Bhim Singh Chawla and his three employees Sunil, Birju and Slim. They have all been referred to PGIMS, Rohtak .
The police has registered a case against the Canter driver and seized the vehicle .
