Jamir to take oath as Maharashtra Governor
Mumbai, Jul 18: Acting Governor S C Jamir, who was holding the additional charges as Governor of Maharashtra in addition to Goa, will be sworn in as the Governor of Maharashtra.
Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court Justice Swatanter Kumar will administer the oath of office to Mr Jamir at Darbar Hall in Raj Bhavan, an official release said here.
Mr Jamir was appointed the Governor of Maharashtra by the President of India as per an order dated July 8, 2008.
Mr Jamir was the Governor of Goa for the last four years and was holding the additional charge of Maharashtra since March 9, 2008.
