CPI-M condemns blast on Srinagar-Jammu highway

Srinagar, Jul 18 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today strongly condemned the blast at Banihal on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway resulting in injuries to more than 35 people this afternoon.

''It was a senseless violence and those behind the blasts are the enemies of the peace, State Secretary of the CPI(M) Mohammad Yousuf Targami said.

Appealing people to make joint efforts to foil the designs of such frustrated people, Mr Targami said violence never helped to resolve any issue.

He said'' it is the innocent people who become victims of such unfortunate incidents.
