Charri Mubarak of Lord Shiva reaches Pahalgam
Srinagar, Jul 18 (UNI) The ''Chari Mubarak'', holy mace of Lord Shiva, today arrived at Pahalgam, the traditional base camp of Amarnath cave, for Bhoomi Puja.
Led by Mahant Depidender Giree, the Chari Mubarak was taken under tight security arrangements from Dashnami Akhara here today to Pahalgam.
Accompanied by a large number of sadhus and other devotees, the Chari Mubarak was received by Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag.
Mahant Giree, custodian of the holy mace of Lord Shiva led the puja.
A hawan was also organised by Purohit Sabah and Bhoomi Puja of Charri Mubarak was performed on the occasion.
Meanwhile, 408550 yatris from all over the country had a darshan of Shiv Lingum so far. As many as 30 yatris died a natural death since the commencement of the two-month-long pilgrimage from June 18.
