Jammu, Jul 18: In a bid to provide better service to its subscribers, state owned Bhart Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has initiated a process of 'installing' hi-tech equipment to provide better service in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.
''The ongoing snag will completely be treated after the 'installation' of hi-tech gadgets and by the ending October this year, the BSNL subscribers will not face any disturbances,'' Ajay Mittal, General Manager Mobile, told to a television channel here. However, Mr Mittal said that the process is on and BSNL is committed to provide refined services to its subscribers and by end of October, hopefully there will be no complaints from BSNL users.
Meanwhile official sources said that 300 new towers are also being installed in the different regions of the state to treat the technical faults.
''At present around 8.5 lakh subscribers are using BSNL services in the state. So installation of new towers has become mandatory for better services as the existing one are not in a condition to manage the overloading of connections,'' official sources told sources.
Pertinent to mention here that the BSNL subscribers are facing problems like cross connectivity, overlapping of numbers, poor connectivity, signal problem and many others for the past so many months in Jammu and Kashmir.
