Tata Teleservices announces introduction of M-Commerce in HP

Shimla, Jul 17 (UNI) Tata Teleservices today announced the launch of M-Commerce (Mobile Commerce) solutions, providing its customers the convenience of booking airlines, railways and movie tickets through their Tata Indicom mobiles in Himachal Pradesh.

The customers after downloading the applications on their mobile would be able to avail the benefits of viewing fares, check availability and schedules for all available airlines and trains, besides booking tickets by paying through a credit card.

The customer would get an instantaneous confirmation PNR and the e-ticket would be mailed to the customer's email address within 24 hours. This was besides booking movie tickets in Adlabs Theatres from their mobiles.

For railway tickets booking, customers could log on to Tata Zone and follow simple steps to book tickets, while for booking air tickets, customers can log on to the BREW Browser where they could download the application to book domestic air tickets.

The tariff for the application was Rs 10 for three days, Rs 15 for a week and Rs 30 for a month.

However, movie tickets option was currently available for Adlabs Theaters only where a customer can book up to 10 tickets for a tariff of Rs five per transaction or Rs 30 per month as subscription fees.

Speaking at the occasion, Tata's Chief Operating Officer for the state Vinay Bhan said the introduction of M-Commerce services would provide hassle free, risk free, speedy service and instant results to all its customers.

It also enables the customer to do things at his or her convenience, sitting at home, in the office or on the move, besides giving him the freedom to check the best fares available to suit his pockets, Mr Bhan said.
