Orissa seeks AP's help in setting up JKC and STP framework
Hyderabad, Jul 17 (UNI) The Orissa government today requested the Andhra Pradesh government and the Institute for Electronic Governance (IEG) to set up a Jawahar Knowledge Centre (JKC) and Special Training Programme (STP) framework in Orissa.
An official delegation from the Orissa government, on the concluding day of the two-day visit to the State, made this request after officials of the IEG briefed them about the concept of JKC and STP.
The Andhra Pradesh government and IEG expressed willingness to help Orissa to establish JKC and STP programmes in that state during August and agreed to send a team to Orissa.
The delegation, headed by Orissa government Secretary (Higher Education) Pradeepta Kumar Mahopatra, was briefed by CEO of IEG Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri on JKC and STP.
Mr Mahopatra conveyed deep appreciation to the Andhra Pradesh government for initiating JKC and STP framework through IEG.
He underlined the role of JKCs in promoting educational and economic development in Andhra Pradesh and envisaged creating a valuable link between IEG and Orissa government.
