Junior doctors take back strike in LLR hospital
Kanpur, Jul 17 (UNI) The junior doctors of Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) hospital called back their strike and resumed work this afternoon.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Kanpur (south), Dayanand Mishra said the medicos have returned to their duty and work has been resumed in Outdoor Patient Ward (OPD) and Emergency ward.
The agitators had also vandalised furniture at hospital and Swroop Nagar police outpost. Eleven doctors were taken in custody when they tried to jam traffic near medical college crossing last night. They were, however, released later on unconditional apologies, police said.
According to reports, three patients had died in the LLR hospital during the last 24 hours. The junior doctors had gone on strike when two of them were beaten up by the relatives of a patient, who had succumbed yesterday morning. The relatives of the deceased had alleged that the patient had died due to carelessness of the doctors.
