Mumbai, Jul 17 (UNI) The Maharashtra legislative council was adjourned for 15 minutes when angry opposition members raised the issue of delay in the supply of fertilizers to farmers.
The issuewas raised by leader of the opposition Pandurang Phundkar during question hour, holding the state government responsible for the scanty supply of fertilizers before sowing.
Agriculture minister Balasaheb Thorat denied the allegation and said the government had provided fertizers to all districts.
However, opposition members persisted with their allegations and finally the house was adjourned for 15 minutes.
