1948 Olympian Gordhandas Rattonsey Chapsi passes away

Mumbai, Jul 17 (UNI) One of India's oldest Olympian Gordhandas Rattonsey Chapsi, who participated in the 1948 London Olympics, passed away here last night.

Chapsi, who was in his late eighties, represented the country in the water polo discipline.

''He was one of the greatest goalkeepers in water polo, India has produced,'' said Bharat Merchant, member of the 1970 Asian Games silver medal-winning team.
