Bombardier signs contract with SAC for CSeries fuselage
Mumbai, Jul 16 (UNI) Aircraft maker Bombardier Aerospace and Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), subsidiary of state-owned aviation industrial entity China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) I have signed a contract for supply of the centre fuselage on the newly launched Bombardier CSeries aircraft.
'' AVIC I attaches great importance to and supports the CSeries project and is willing to participate in this project as a risk-sharing supplier'', stated AVIC I Commercial Airplane, VP, Wang Yawei.
The deal comes only days after Bombardier officially announced the launch of its CSeries commercial aircraft programme.
The two had also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in June last year for a long-term strategic cooperation in the 90 to 149-seat commercial aircraft market, a release stated.
