Hyderbad, Jul 15 (UNI) The All India Youth Congress has an ambitious plan of selecting 'Aam Admi Ka Sepoy' (soldiers of the common man) from each village in the country and provide training to them to oversee the implementation of various welfare programmes of the Union Government.
Addressing a press conference along with All India Youth Congress President Ashok Tanwar, All India Congress Committee General Secretary and in-charge of Youth Congress affairs Jitender Singh said three active party workers, including a woman worker, would be selected from each village.
He said around 1,800 selected workers from all over the country would be given training here from July 23 to 27 in the first phase.
The trained workers would impart training to the remaining selected workers in their respective states.
The main reason for providing training in Hyderabad was that the State Government was implementing major Central Government programmes, including NREGP, with social audit concept. It would be helpful for the Youth Congress workers to study the implementation of the programmes in the State. Priority would be given to the workers, who actively work in the organisation.
He said AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi would address the trainers on July 27.
