Imphal, Jul 15 (UNI) With reports of three more 13-year-old boys missing from various areas of the state capital coming in today, the incidents of abduction of children have been increasing in Manipur.
Official sources said N Suresh, L Bungte and N Golshan, all 13 years old, have been reported missing from different parts of Imphal.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggested that they were in the custody of the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK GS), a proscribed militant outfit.
Earlier, the PREPAK GS had also kidnapped two schoolboys from Thoubal Kiyam Siphai, Thoubal district.
Police said the boys, A K Ajoy and A K Bipin, both aged 13, were students of class VIII and are still untraceable.
Last week, the cadres of the PREPAK Cobra Task Force released two boys, Y Naobi (13) and LanNgamba (11), of Iroisemba, Imphal West district after appeals were made to release them.
