Gold, silver rise rapidly in bullish global market
Mumbai, Jul 15: Both the prcious metals zoomed on Tuesday July 15, as silver crossed 26k and opened at Rs 26,040 with a massive gain of Rs 445 per kg and gold also opened high at Rs 13,550, shot up by Rs 240 from its previous close, on sustained demands from stockists, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
In international market mixed trend was observed as gold traded at USD 971.55/972.55 an ounce, little changed from USD 971.20/972.20 an ounce late in New York amid surging oil prices and financial market jitters boosted the metal's safe-haven appeal. Silver edged down to USD 19.06/19.12 an ounce from USD 19.12/19.18 late in New York.
