PG medical student gets infected from HIV patient
Surat, Jul 15 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a resident doctor of government hospital here, got infected with an unknown deadly virus, while giving treatment to a HIV+ patient.
The second year resident doctor, got infected three months back when his finger was injured by a surgical blade, he was using to dress the patient, hospital sources said.
The doctor later came to know that the patient was an HIV+ and started taking ART drug treatment. However, he later took ill and was diagnosed with Sezitalsinis Thombosis. The doctors treating him said that this disease can also occur if the patient suffers from Japanese Fever (Ancetafalicitis).
The doctor, who is fighting for his life, is not financially well off and is being helped by the his colleagues at present.
