Bangalore, Jul 15: The newly raised 200 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) consisting 875 personnel held its first ever passing parade at the Group Centre at Yelahanka Parade Ground here today.
During its 47 week basic training, they were put through very rigourous trainng covering wide range of subjects on military and police operations, the CRPF press release here said.
At the passing out parade, the Karnataka's minister for higher education Arvind Limbavalli said that it has been always been experienced that mere presence of CRPF was a assurance of peace even in worst situation.
CRPF having designated as the main internal security force of the country, has to operate in three diverse operational theatre like Jammu and Kashmir, North East and extreme Left wing affected areas.
It has special outfit called Rapid Action Force(RAF) to deal with communal situation and also has a disaster management unit deployed at strategic points.
