National Conference meets to decide stand on July 22-trust vote in Lok Sabha
Srinagar, July 15 : The National Conference (NC), the main Opposition party in Jammu and Kashmir, met here today to decide whether to favor or oppose the UPA government on the Indo-US nuclear deal in the Lok Sabha.
The party's core group meeting was chaired by party president Omar Abdullah at his residence. According to sources, it was a closed-door meeting.
The NC has two members in the Lok Sabha. Besides Abdullah, NC is represented in the Lok Sabha by Abdul Rashid Shaheen.
During his recent visit to New Delhi, Abdullah had talks with National Security Advisor M K Narayanan and various political leaders on the deal.
