New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) An innocuous clash of opinion resulted in a 55-year-old man losing his life in the hands of his son in east Delhi's Geeta Colony.
Bhushan Lal (55) was clobbered to death, with the help of a hammer, by his son Vipin (20) following an argument over leaving business and pursuing studies, said the police.
''Accused Vipin, a Class XII passout, has been arrested this afternoon. He used a hammer to hit his father last evening. The hammer has been recovered.'' Yesterday the father-son duo had an argument over whether Vipin should pursue his studies or not, which he keenly wanted to continue.
While Bhushan, who ran a small factory from his house, wanted his son to join him in the business as he had been assisting him till now.
Following the argument Vipin allegedly rained several blows on his father's head with the hammer till he fell unconscious.
He was rushed to the Swami Dayanand Hospital by his wife and daughter but was declared brought dead.
