Left and BJP indulging in horse trading: Moily
Hyderabad, Jul 14 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and in-charge Andhra Affairs M Veerappa Moily today alleged that the Left parties and the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) were indulging in horse trading to gain strength during trust vote of the UPA government in Parliament on July 22.
Addressing a press conference after launching membership drive at the party headquarters here, he alleged the BJP and CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan were indulging in horse trading by trying to split the Samajwadi Party (SP) as they know that they have no strength to defeat the trust vote.
However, denying the charges of the Left parties and the BJP that the Congress was indulging in horse trading, he said, ''There is no need for the party to indulge in horse trading as it had sufficient strength to prove its majority in Parliament. The Congress is facing trust vote but not 'no-confidence motion'. Immediately after the Left parties left the UPA, the Congress expressed its willingness to face a trust vote based on its strength.'' He alleged that the Left parties opposed the nuclear deal with United States as they want 'political' power whereas the Congress wanted to give 'electrical' power to the nation.
