London, July 14 : English glamour model Katie Price or Jordan as she is known, is all set to adopt a disabled orphan from abroad.
Jordan, who had been watching a shocking TV documentary about the cruelty and neglect of orphans in Bulgaria, broke down in tears and vowed that she would give all the help she can to ease their plight.
The model has a partially blind and autistic son Harvey, 6, and two other children with 35-year-old hubby Peter Andre, Junior, 3, and Princess Tiaamii, 1.
"We want to be able to help a child to have a better life," the Sun quoted 30-year-old Price as saying.
"The programme moved me to tears. So many babies who are born with disabilities find it hard to find adoptive parents - no one wants them.
"So Pete and I have been to see a lawyer about adopting a baby from abroad," she added.
Jordan, whose new novel Angel Uncovered is out this week, will be joining the ranks of celebrity adopters like Angelina Jolie and Madonna.
The whole decision was made after she watched the BBC4 documentary Bulgaria's Abandoned Children, which was shot over nine months at a home for physically and mentally disabled children.
The adoption process could take up to 18 months, but Jordan is resolute that she will succeed in helping the children.
"She's not an emotional person, but was traumatised by what she saw. It made her determined," a source close to her added.
