BJP vows to win 'Mahabharat' of Lok sabha polls
Vrindavan, Jul 14 (UNI) Making a strong case for Party leader L K Advani being projected as Prime Minister in the coming Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh BJP today drew an analogy between Advani and the Lord Krsihna, terming all the workers 'Arjun,' who would fulfil the goal to win the Lok Sabha polls so that (Lal) Krishna (Advani) could become Prime Minister.
Every polling station should be seen as ' Kurushetra' as Lok Sabha polls would be a battle Mahabharat between the people who had ruined the country and those who had proved their worth in the last governance, Party's State president Ramapati Ram Tripathi said in his inaugural address on the two day state executive meeting here.
He exhorted every partymen to take a vow in the birth place of Lord Krishna to take up the fight in the same manner as was witnessed in the Mahabharat as they all were the ''Arjun'' of the party.
Taking Mahabharat analogy further along, the BJP leader said Kaurvas also dreamt of winning the war but the war could only be won by the side which had Krishna and Arjun.
''Now as we have launched our campaign from Vrindavan-Mathura, the birthplace of the Lord Krishna and each worker is to be Arjun, there is no question of our defeat,'' he stressed.
