AI's B777-300ER Aircraft arrives in London From Seattle

Mumbai, Jul 14 (UNI) Air India's (AI) new Boeing 777-300ER, christened as 'Jammu&Kashmir', arrived in London from Seattle to participate in Farnborough International Airshow, commencing in the UK today.

The state-of-the-art-aircraft, which has all the latest passenger amenities, arrived yesterday and will be on display at the Farnborough International Airshow until July 20.

The aircraft has 342 seats in three class configuration -- four First Class, 35 Executive Class and 303 Economy Class.

Air India has, so far, received 10 of the 23 Boeing 777s ordered -- five 777-200LRs and five 777-300ERs. The induction of these new aircraft has enabled Air India to not only significantly expand and modernise its fleet, but also helped to offer its passengers a new era of unprecedented comfort.

While the non-stop flights have already been introduced between Mumbai-New York and Delhi-New York following the induction of B777-200LRs, the B777-300Ers have been deployed for operating direct flights between India and New York, via London. As more B777-300Ers are gradually inducted, Air India will deploy these aircraft for operating services from multiple points in India to multiple points in the USA via a European hub, thus providing direct connectivity, a release issued by Air India said.
