6 suffer jellyfish stings, hospitalised
Mumbai, July 14 (UNI) Six persons have been admitted to the civic-run Cooper Hospital after being stung by jellyfish.
Jellyfish have been noticed on the shores of Juhu beach and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has stepped up measures to protect the swimmers.
The civic body has begun work of clearing the sea-shore of these marine animals.
A person stung by jellyfish complains of intense, stinging pain, itching, rash, and raised welts. The symptoms clear within a few days. The jellyfish attacks are rampant during the rainy season.
