Punjab govt to upgrade health services
Jalandhar, Jul 13 (UNI) The Punjab government has chalked out a comprehensive plan and started working on it to improve the health and education sectors so as to provide quality services to the people.
This was stated here today by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal after the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new complex of the Sri Guru Har Gobind Hospital Trust to be built at a cost of Rs 5 crore.
Reiterating the firm commitment of his government towards quality health services Mr Badal lamented that even after 60 years of Independence; the Centre had not been able to provide the basic civic amenities to the people. He said any society or nation could not progress without education and health facilities.
On this occasion the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the hospital and asked the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation to repair the approach roads to the hospital.
