New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) As many as 1,500 experts from over 40 countries will attend the country's largest information and communication technology (ICT) meet, ''eINDIA2008,'' to be held here on July 29-31 with its focus on e-governance, digital learning, e-health, mobile serve, e-agriculture, telecentre forum and municipal IT.
The meet is being organised by the Centre for Science Development and Media Studies (CSDMS), ELETS with active support from the Communications and IT Ministry, UN (Gobal Alliance of ICT for Development) GAID, and the Ministries of Agriculture, HRD and I and B.
Apart from discussing ways and means to leverage the capabilities of ICT to promote good governance across the country, the delegates would also focus on digital learning to achieve education for all goal as technologies had a major role to play for spreading education, CSDMS Chairman M P Narayanan told reporters.
A virtual interactive digital class room would be set up during the conference where latest technologies would be showcased. The other highlights of the conference would be an exhibition of ICT where major IT companies would display their latest e-governance and digital learning technologies.
