Crime increasing alarmingly in Samastipur

Samastipur, July 13 (UNI) The criminal incidents were increasing alarmingly in Samastipur district. The one that rocked the district last fortnight shows a grim picture of terror here.

According to police a group of armed criminals robbed off Rs 2 lakh from a local trader Dinesh Kedia near Mohanpur under town Police Station area last night. The miscreants also snatched motorcycle from the trader.

The criminals also looted Rs 2.5 lakh from another businessman Suresh Kumar on July 3, near Kali Mandir under the same Police Station area, police said.

The sources further informed that the miscreants had shot and injured an employee Lakshmi Narayan Sharamaat here at local civil court.

The rising crime had unleashed a reign of terror among the common people, alleged the opposition leaders in the district.

Meanwhile the local RJD leaders including the former minister and RJD district president Ramashraya Sahni demanded immediate action to put the rising crime under check.
