Vaishya Sammelan opposes idea of political party for biz community
Patna, Jul 12 (UNI) The Bihar Vaishya Sammelan today brushed aside the idea, floated by an Independent MLA Vijendra Chaudhary, to launch a new political party exclusively for business community.
President of Bihar Vaishya Sammelan Dr Jagannath Prasad Gupta told reporters here that idea of Mr Chaudhary was against the interests of the trading community.
''Mr Chaudhary was making desperate attempt to seek ticket from political parties in the coming Lok Sabha elections and he has propounded the idea following not so encouraging response from main-stream parties in his mission,'' Mr Gupta added.
''During the Nitish Kumar regime, all members belonging to the Vaishya community are safe and the NDA government is making serious efforts to improve their condition,'' Mr Gupta maintained and said the state government had paid attention to improve the business environment for the Vaishya community.
The improvement in law and order situation had given the much-needed confidence to the businessmen, who had migrated to other parts of the country during the Lalu-Rabri regime due to hostile environment, to return to the state, he added.
