London, July 12 : Not everyone in showbiz was borne with a silver spoon in their mouth. Many, including Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell, Will Smith and Kate Moss, Harrison Ford were nobodies before luck did its gig and transformed them into today's hot selling stars.

Naomi Campbell was spotted window shopping in the capital's Covent Garden at the age of 15 years by a scout from the Elite agency, who asked whether she had ever thought of modelling. And after a year of convincing her mother Valerie for being permitted to model, a glittery modelling career took off.

Actor Will Smith was happy being an established rap musician when he met a Warner Bros vice-president in the Universal Studios car park and asked for directions to a Los Angeles sports ground. And that's when this Warner man was convinced that Smith was the one who could breathe life into a sitcom called The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. He was signed up as the star - and went on to a stellar acting career.

A 14-year-old Kate Moss was spotted travelling with her father by Sarah Doukas, founder of the Storm model agency, who was flying to London from the US in 1988.

"I was on my way home with my brother Simon after a scouting mission for models when I spotted her at the airport. She looked like a child but she had exceptional bone structure," The Daily Express quoted Doukas, as saying.

Doukas added that they finally boarded the same flight and "As soon as the seat belt sign had been switched off, we rushed over." And supermodel Kate Moss was born.

Charlize Theron, a South African native came to New York for making it big as a ballerina, but her dream got shattered after a knee injury and she moved to Hollywood to look for an acting break.

The break finally came after she had a row in a bank, where she was having problems transferring money from South Africa to Los Angeles. This got her into fury and the angry scene was witnessed by an agent who was standing in the queue.

He gave her his card and said that if she could be like that in front of a camera, she had a career in acting. And the prediction finally came true in 2003, when she won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in 'Monster'.

A young Harrison Ford trained as a carpenter while he tried to get a reak in Hollywood. And his luck worked for him while he built cabinets in the home of director George Lucas, who gave him a supporting role in his film American Graffiti.

Lucas asked him to read lines for actors being cast in his sci-fi adventure Star Wars in 1975 and there he was starring as Han Solo in the movie and was the only actor in the trilogy (as it was then) to develop a stellar career out of it.

The newest to join the list is the new face of Wonderbra, Katie Green, who was spotted after she turned up at an open audition and her photograph was taken. Though, the bosses later loved the 20-year-old's look but could not take down her name.

But finally they tracked her down through the Daily Express and now she is to join the likes of Eva Herzigova and Sophie Anderton, who have earlier modelle for the revolutionary bra.
