Three army jawans killed in Jammu road accident

Jammu, July 12 (UNI) Three Army jawans were killed in road accident when the vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Kalla Kuper in Nagrota area on city outskirts, police sources here today said.

''Three army personnel of 13 Rashtriya Rifles died in an accident when the vehicle, which was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu skidded off the road on National Highway last evening,'' police told UNI.

However, the police party on receiving information about the accident rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the three critically injured army jawans were evacuated and rushed to hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

The deceased have been identified as Subedar Mehtab Singh, Sepoy Shashi Bhushan and driver Harvinder Singh, police said.
