RJD to take on Raj Thackeray
Mumbai, Jul 12: With Raj Thackeray continuing his tirade against the North Indians in Mumbai, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has said it will join hands with other secular parties to counter his campaign.
Talking to reporters here today, party's national secretary Shyam Rajat said, ''Raj Thackeray is trying to divide the country and such a politician should not be given due status since he does not respect the Indian Constitution.'' Speaking about his own party, he said the Lalu Prasad-led party will spread its wings outside Bihar and will even contest the forthcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra .
Mumbai unit president of RJD, Sayed Shaukat Ahmad, who was also present on the occasion, said all efforts would be made to strengthen the party's base in the city.
