Lankan President leaves for Bangalore after two-day visit
Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, Jul 12 (UNI) Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse, who was on a two-day visit to Tirumala, left today for Bangalore by a special IAF aircraft at around 1100 hrs against the scheduled departure of 1850 hrs.
Mr Rajapakse was seen off at the Renigunta airport by Rayalseema IG Tagore, Revenue Devisional Officer Venkateswarulu and Chittoor District Superintendent of Police Laxmireddy and others.
Earlier, the President also participated in the 'Suprabhatam Seva' and offered prayers along with a ten-member delegation.
This is Mr Rajapakse's second visit to Tirumala. For the first time, a President addressed the newspersons at Tirumala hills, abode of Lord Venkateswara.
Security had been tightened at Tirumala and Tirupati during the President's visit to the temple town.
