Kannur, Jul 12 (UNI) BJP Kannur district president P K Velayudham today said that Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has assured that the repair work on the Mankuttam-Coorg road would be carried out next month.
This was stated by Mr Yeddyurappa to BJP Kerala president P K Krishna Das and senior leader C K Padmanabhan, when they met him on July nine and submitted a memorandum in this regard, he told reporters here.
The Chief Minister issued the necessary orders in the presence of the BJP leaders, he said adding that reparing of the road would help thousands of people from the state living in Karnataka, to cut down their travel time as they now had to traverse about 90 km to reach Bangalore and Mysore from here.
Mr Yeddyurappa also assured to consider the request for operating bus services to Vayathur, Kaliyar and Taliparamba Raja Rajeswari temples from Bangalore and Mysore.
