Finance Commission delegation to visit Haryana

Chandigarh, Jul 12 (UNI) An eleven-member delegation of 13th Finance Commission headed by its Chairman Vijay Kelkar is coming to Haryana on a two-day visit on July 16.

Stating this, an official spokesman said the other members of the commission included Mr B K Chaturvedi, Dr Indira Rajaraman, Professor Atul Sharma, Dr Sanjiv Misra (all members), Secretary Sumit Bose, Economic Advisor Rathin Roy, Joint Secretaries V Bhaskar and B S Bhullar, Consultant Ritvik Pandey (IAS), and Private Secretary to Chairman S Ravi.

The spokesman said various departments would give their presentations to the delegation on July 17. Chief Minister Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda would address the meeting while Finance Minister Birender Singh would give welcoming address.

He said that on the second half of the day the delegation would meet the representatives of Local Bodies, Urban Local Bodies Department and the representatives of Department of Trade and Industry and would discuss various matters related to the state.
