''The Government ordered a CB-CID probe after the girl, in her affidavit in the local court in Badaun, alleged rape by some people of the MLA,'' said state Inspector General of Police (law and order) Bhanu Pratap Singh.
The girl, Jyoti Sharma, was allegedly kidnapped on April 24 and later recovered from Muzaffarnagar on May 17.
But later, she alleged that she was criminally assaulted and kept in confinement by the goons of the MLA in Lucknow and other places in the state. The girl also charged that the MLA had also admitted him to a mental hospital.
Mr Singh, said however, during the medical examination of the girl, rape was not confirmed.
