Oz soap opera 'Neighbours' to be aired on social networking site
Melbourne, July 11 : Australia's popular soap opera 'Neighbours' would soon be posted on a social networking site.
The producers of the series have taken a decision in this regard because a large number of unauthorised broadcasts are already occurring on the Internet.
Ben Liebmann, production company FremantleMedia's vice president of licensing, says that they want to utilise "multiple platforms" for its programs.
He, however, did not divulge the name of the website on which the programme would be posted.
"We will soon announce the first local partnership that will see Neighbours offered, on an official and authorised basis, via one of the world's leading social networks," News.com.au quoted Liebmann as saying.
"We have also embraced our fans' demand to experience Neighbours 24 hours a day, through the introduction of full-length episodes via the official Neighbours website," he added.
